This company is seeking a dedicated and experienced General Manager to oversee restaurant operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily operations, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and maintaining exceptional guest experiences. This role requires a strong background in restaurant management, strong leadership skills, and the ability to cultivate a positive culture while driving operational excellence.
Duties
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of the FOH management team, servers, bartenders, and support staff, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.
• Oversee scheduling, labor management, training programs, inventory systems, and daily operational procedures.
• Manage all day-to-day restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash management, inventory control, maintenance, and guest relations.
• Ensure all services are executed according to the company's standards, systems, and hospitality philosophy.
• Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, accountability, integrity, and a commitment to excellence.
• Partner closely with culinary leadership to ensure seamless communication and execution between front and back of house.
• Collaborate on private events, community partnerships, and special programming opportunities.
• Recruit, train, mentor, and develop managers and hourly team members while creating clear pathways for growth.
• Foster a positive and accountable workplace culture through coaching, feedback, conflict resolution, and consistent communication.
• Monitor guest feedback, online reviews, and operational metrics, implementing improvements where needed.
• Manage financial performance, including labor costs, controllable expenses, and revenue-driving initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, health, sanitation, and employment regulations.
Skills & Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience as a General Manager or senior restaurant leader in a high-volume, hospitality-driven environment.
• Strong understanding of restaurant operations, service standards, labor management, and financial performance.
• Experience leading management teams and developing future leaders.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong understanding of hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management.
• Proven ability to build culture and maintain high levels of employee engagement.
• Excellent cash handling and financial management skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
• Exceptional problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making abilities.
• High emotional intelligence and strong self-awareness.
• Demonstrated integrity, accountability, and professionalism.
• Must be highly organized, punctual, trustworthy, and respected by peers and team members alike.
